Interim Chief of Police Greg Ward
Gregory L. Ward is the Interim Chief for the Frisco Police Department. Chief Ward has 29 years of law enforcement experience and currently holds a master peace officer license in the State of Texas. He received a criminal justice degree from Southwest Texas State University in 1985 and is also a graduate of the FBI National Academy and the Senior Management Institute for Police.
Chief Ward has supervisory experience in patrol, criminal investigations, special operations, school resource officer programs, community services and communications. He has also provided oversight for the department’s Investigations and Services Bureaus.
Chief Ward came to the Frisco Police Department in 1999, with previous law enforcement experience at Southwest Texas State University Police Department and Carrollton Police Department.
