Deputy Chief of Police Jason Jenkins
Jason Jenkins is the Services Bureau Commander for the Frisco Police Department. Deputy Chief Jenkins has over 20 years of Texas law enforcement experience and currently holds a Master Peace Officer license in the State of Texas. He is a graduate of ILEA’s School of Police Supervision, IACP’s Leadership in Police Organizations and the FBI National Academy’s 249th Session. Jason holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Tarleton State University and a Master of Science degree in Criminology with a focus on Homeland Security from Texas A&M- Commerce.
Deputy Chief Jenkins has supervisory experience in Patrol, Criminal Investigations, School Resource Officer Division, Community Services/ Public Information, Crime Victim Advocates / Grants Administration, K-9 Program, Special Operations Unit and Communications. He now provides oversight for the Department’s Services Bureau which includes the Community Services Division, Public Information Officers, Communications Division, Records Division, Animal Services, Detention, Radio Systems, Facilities, Technology and the Department’s Weapons Training program.
Deputy Chief Jenkins came to the Frisco Police Department in 1999, with previous law enforcement experience at the Tarleton State University Police Department and as an MP in the United States Marine Corps. Deputy Chief Jenkins is married and has one daughter.
