    Want to learn how to identify plants and animals you encounter? The answer is right at your fingertips! Join Frisco's Natural Resources staff to learn about the iNaturalist mobile app and become a citizen scientist! We will hike together at Northwest Community Park and practice using iNaturalist. Prior to the hike, please download the free iNaturalist app and create an account. Please wear closed-toe shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, bring a water bottle, and your fully-charged mobile device. Note: Trail Walks are subject to cancellation due to weather or trail conditions. Updates will be shared via the Play Frisco social media.

    The Grove at Frisco Commons, Frisco's new active adult center, is opening Jan, 29 with a ribbon cutting at 10 a.m. The 50+ Ways to Play open house immediately follows with guided tours and activities until 5 p.m. Come explore all it has to offer inside and out-- including bocce and pickleball, an 1/8 mile walking trail, rooms for billiards, table tennis and fitness, a welcoming large fireplace, coffee center and more, all set at the edge of Frisco Commons Park. Everyone is welcome to come and explore!

Police Academy Training Calendar

  1. Law Enforcement SUV Instructor Driver Training (Cross-Training)

    January 20, 2020, 9:00 AM - January 22, 2020, 5:00 PM @ Frisco Public Safety Training Center/Driving Pad

    The SUV Driving Instructor Course is a program designed to train the trainer to instruct a two day (16 HR) student level course to department personnel (see SUV student level). Teaching experience is highly recommended but not required. Certification requires passing all student level qualifications, as well as satisfactorily demonstrating classroom and track teaching skills. Instructor trainees must also have a passing final average on written tests.
