On Deck Circle


The “On Deck Circle” is a quality training area located at Harold Bacchus Community Park. Located adjacent to the park’s baseball / softball 5-plex, the training area includes four batting cages capable of pitching both baseball and softball at various speeds - all controlled by the batter. In addition to the batting cages, the training area includes four tunnels complete with nets, which make this area perfect for soft toss, live pitching and batting opportunities and personal instruction.

Public Use Fees


The batting cages are token based. Tokens can be purchased on-site via a token machine. One token costs $1, which provides the batter with 15 pitches. The token machine accepts $1, $5, $10 and $20 bills.

The training tunnels are free and available on a first-come, first-served basis, unless the tunnels have been reserved by another party.

Reservations


  • Batting Cages - $25 per 60-minute rental
  • Training Tunnels - $25 per 60-minute rental

Batting cage and/or training tunnel reservations include utilization of these spaces without interruptions and unlimited use of the pitching machine (no tokens required) for the specified time of the reservation. Reservations may be made in one or two-hour time block per day.  At least 2 cages and tunnels will remain available for open use at all times. Lastly, reservations will begin and end promptly at the designated time to ensure following reservations have the opportunity to begin on time.

Reservations must be made at least two days in advance and no sooner than two weeks in advance in-person at the Frisco Athletic Center located at 5828 Nancy Jane Lane, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Please call the FAC at 972-292-6600 to inquire about the availability of a cage or tunnel for a specific date and time. However, payment is required to confirm a reservation.


Rules


  1. Gates must remain closed at all times.
  2. Only one person in each batting cage at a time. Instruction must be given from outside the cages.
  3. Only two persons are allowed in each training tunnel at a time.
  4. Helmets, shoes and proper clothing must be worn at all times in both batting cages and training tunnels (including coaches).
  5. Anyone under 7 years of age or under 48 inches tall must have adult supervision at all times.
  6. No switch hitting while the machine is in use.
  7. Batting cages will not operate in wet weather.
  8. Batting cages  operate with tokens only.
  9. Swing bats in cages and tunnels only.
  10. No one under the influence of drugs or alcohol will be allowed to participate.

Failure to comply with all safety rules will result in termination of session without a refund.
