[ARCHIVED] Left turns prohibited at Rockhill Pkwy & Dallas Pkwy Nightly through May 31

(May 18, 2020) As part of NTTA’s Tollway extension project, the middle of the intersection of Rockhill Parkway and Dallas Parkway will be closed each night starting Sunday night, May 17.  The intersection will close each night at 9:00 p.m. and reopen the following morning at 5:00 a.m.  These closures will continue through May 31 (but no closure will occur over the Memorial Day weekend on the nights of May 23, 24 and 25).

During each nightly closure, no traffic will be able to make a left turn or a U-turn at this intersection (see attached map).  Through traffic on Dallas Parkway will not be affected.  Traffic on westbound Rockhill Parkway that wishes to turn left onto Dallas Parkway will be directed to turn right onto northbound Dallas Parkway and make a U-turn prior to US 380 in order to continue their journey on southbound Dallas Parkway.  Similarly, traffic on southbound Dallas Parkway that wishes to turn left onto Rockhill Parkway will be directed to continue straight on Dallas Parkway, make a U-turn at the next underpass, travel north on Dallas Parkway, and turn right onto Rockhill Parkway.  Detour signs will be posted.

Drivers are urged to use caution in the work zone and to seek an alternate route in advance. Consider using the Waze app to navigate around road closures. Click here to learn about Waze or install it on your smartphone.

This construction work is part of NTTA’s DNT Extension Phase 4A which will extend the Dallas North Tollway main lanes over US 380.  For more information, visit NTTA’s website.
