[ARCHIVED] UPDATE: Frisco Police Investigate Assault on a Jogger

FRISCO, TX – Frisco Police continue to investigate after a 54-year-old woman was reportedly attacked by an unknown male subject while jogging in The Trails neighborhood. After speaking with the victim, detectives were able to obtain a better description of the alleged suspect.

The victim in this case described the suspect as an approximately 5’6” to 5’7” stocky/heavyset male who had a distinct bowleg walk. He was dressed in all black at the time of the assault. At this time, investigators do not have any further description.

FRISCO, TX – Frisco Police are investigating after a 54-year-old woman was reportedly attacked by an unknown male while jogging in the Trails Neighborhood. The victim sustained only minor injuries and was able to get to a nearby residence to call police.

At around 6:25 AM on Monday, February 17, 2020, officers responded to the 1500 block of Kingfisher Lane, in reference to an assault. Officers met with the female victim, who advised that at around 6:20 AM, she was jogging in the area of The Trails Parkway and Crockett Drive when she attempted to pass a male dressed in all black walking on the sidewalk. As she passed him, he grabbed her and threw her to the ground. She was able to fend him off and get to a nearby residence to seek help. Initial responding officers checked the area but were unable to locate the male.
