Frisco Police Investigating Death of a Child


FRISCO, TX – The Frisco Police Department is investigating what led to the death of a child and the hospitalization of an adult female, the mother of the child.  The incident is being investigated as a homicide/suicide attempt.  Initial information shows this to be an isolated incident, and there is no danger to the public. 


On Saturday, March 23, 2019, at around 5:55 PM, Frisco 911 received a call regarding a welfare concern in the 15200 block of Preachers Lane.  Officers with the Frisco Police and Fire Departments responded and located both subjects in a parked vehicle.  The child was pronounced deceased on scene, and the female was transported to a local hospital where she remains hospitalized in an unknown condition. 


This is an active and ongoing investigation, and the identities of the involved parties will not be released at this time.
