[ARCHIVED] Mother Arrested for Driving While Intoxicated

FRISCO, TX – On Saturday, October 31, 2015 at approximately 10:05 PM, officers
responded to the 1100 block of Ducks Landing for a report of a vehicle in a
neighborhood pond.

Witnesses reported seeing a vehicle exit the roadway and drive
into a pond at the north end of Ducks Landing. The occupants were able to open the
windows, climb out of the vehicle and swim to shore. Within a short time, the vehicle
was completely submerged under water.

When officers arrived, they observed Frisco Fire Department personnel evaluating three
patients - a mother, and her two children (ages 8 and 10 years old). The mother was
later identified as 34 year old Amy Gonzalez Rodiles, of Frisco. The occupants were
not injured and were released by paramedics after a medical evaluation.

Once their initial investigation was complete, officers arrested Gonzalez Rodiles and
charged her with two counts of Driving While Intoxicated - with Child Passenger (State
Jail Felony). The children were later released to a family member who arrived on scene.
Gonzalez Rodiles’ bond was set at $2,000 and she was released on Sunday, November
1st.
