[ARCHIVED] Frisco Man Arrested After Barricading Himself in Residence

FRISCO, TX – On Monday, November 19, 2018 just before 8:00pm, Officers responded to the 2000 block of Donley Drive in reference to a welfare check. When Frisco Police made contact at the house, the resident barricaded himself inside the home alone after pointing a rifle at officers.

The Frisco Police Special Operations Unit, along with Frisco Police Negotiators and the Frisco Fire Department, responded to the scene and officers began speaking with the resident, 24-year-old Jeremy Quaschnick. Quaschnick fired an unknown number of gunshots during the incident while officers attempted to talk him out of the house. After lengthy negotiations, officers were able to talk Quaschnick out of the house peacefully and placed him into custody for Aggravated Assault Against a Public Servant (PC22.02(B)(2)), which is a 1st degree felony. Quaschnick was transferred to the Collin County Detention Center where he is being held on $100,000 bond.

There were no injuries reported during this incident.

No further information will be released at this time.
