Frisco Fire Department Battles 2-Alarm Fire

(August 9, 2018) Frisco Police Department alerted Frisco Dispatch of a house fire in the 12000 block of Burnt Prairie Ln. at 04:10 a.m. Frisco Fire was alerted at 04:11 a.m. The first fire units arrived on scene at 04:18 a.m.

Upon arrival, firefighters found heavy smoke and fire showing from a two-story residential home. Firefighters began an aggressive offensive attack on the structure and the fire was declared “under control” at 05:20 a.m.

One police officer and two firefighters suffered non-life-threatening injuries while operating at the fire. All three first responders were transported to local hospital for evaluation. No civilian injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
