[ARCHIVED] Frisco Police Investigate Crash Where Bicyclist was Struck by a Vehicle

Frisco Police Accident Investigators are investigating a crash in which a bicyclist was struck by a vehicle. On Saturday, June 23, 2018, at approximately 5:00 am, a bicyclist who was traveling southbound in the 10100 block of Independence Parkway was struck from behind by a vehicle traveling the same direction. The bicyclist, 35-year-old McKinney resident Joseph Orzo, was transported to a local hospital by the Frisco Fire Department where he remains in critical condition with severe head injuries. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The adult male driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

Frisco Police Traffic Investigators are investigating the accident, but a cause of the crash has not yet been determined and no charges have been filed at this time.
