[ARCHIVED] ARREST UPDATE: Frisco Police Investigate Assault at Stonebriar Mall

On Friday,
June 15, 2018 at approximately 10:45pm, Frisco Police responded to theStonebriar Centre Mall regarding a fight in progress where one subject was
reported unconscious. See original media release below. The assailants havebeen arrested and are being charged with aggravated assault.
 

During the investigation,
Frisco Police received information from several citizens that greatly assistedin identifying the suspects. Frisco Detectives were able to positively identify
the suspects and secure warrants for their arrest. Thanks to the officers ofThe Colony Police Department, 18-year-old Sincere Wheat and 18-year-old
Jonathan Ekeocha-Ivy of The Colony were taken into custody. They were thentransported to the Frisco Jail and eventually the Collin County Detention
Facility where they are currently being held on aggravated assault charges.Wheat with a $25,000 bond and Ekeocha-Ivy with a $50,000 bond. Aggravated assault
(Texas PC 22.02(a)(1)) is a second-degree felony punishable by two to twentyyears in prison and a fine up to $10,000.00. Book-in photos of Wheat and Ekeocha-Ivy
