[ARCHIVED] Frisco Police Investigate Shooting

On Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at approximately 1:36 AM, Frisco police officers responded to Baylor, Scott, and White-Centennial Hospital after receiving a report that an adult female was being treated for a gunshot wound. When the officers arrived, they were informed that the shooting had taken place at an apartment complex in the 6300 block of FM 423 in Frisco. The victim identified the shooter as Marcos Galindo, 21 year old male, of Frisco.

Officers were able to contact Galindo and he was taken into custody without incident. Galindo was transported to the Frisco Police Department Detention Center, where he was charged with attempted murder, which is a 2nd degree felony.

The victim was treated and released from the hospital.

A cause for the shooting has not yet been determined and the incident is currently under investigation. Nothing further will be released at this time.
