[ARCHIVED] Update: Frisco Police Investigate Shooting

On Friday, April 6, 2018, at approximately 5:00 PM, Frisco police officers and Frisco firefighters responded to a residence in the 2100 block of Goliad Circle in Frisco, Texas, after receiving a report from a neighbor that a subject had been shot. Officers arrived and located an adult male subject, deceased, with an apparent gunshot wound. When the officers arrived, the suspected shooter was still on scene and was known to the deceased.


The incident is isolated and there is no danger to the public.


Frisco detectives continue to investigate the incident with the assistance of the Denton County Medical Examiner’s Office.


The deceased has been identified as 45 year old Edward Bangs III of Frisco, Texas. No arrest has been made at this time and this incident is still under investigation.


No additional information will be released at this time.
