Crews Deploy to Texas Panhandle for Wildfires

(April 3, 2018) Frisco Fire Department has been requested to respond to the Armstrong County area near Amarillo, Texas as a part of the Texas Intrastate Fire Mutual Aid System (TIFMAS). Frisco Fire Department will send four (4) firefighters on a Type III engine, along with other fire agencies, as a strike team assisting in a state-wide effort to battle large wild fires in the Texas Panhandle.

Crews will leave from Frisco Central Fire Station at 4 a.m. on April 4, 2018 where they will join other teams from Wichita Falls FD and Abilene FD in Goodnight, Texas.  They will then check in with the Texas Forest Service and receive their assignment.

Fire crews may be deployed for up to seven (7) days.
