[ARCHIVED] Suspect Charged with Attempted Capital Murder

Suspect Charged with Attempted Capital Murder

FRISCO, TX – On Wednesday, March 21, 2018, Frisco Police Detectives served an arrest warrant for the offense of Attempted Capital Murder, a 1st Degree Felony, on Billy Kipkorir Chemirmir.

On October 29, 2017, at a senior assisted living complex in the 7400 block of Stonebrook Parkway in Frisco, a 93 year old female victim, reported to police that she answered a knock at her door. She stated a middle-aged black male identified himself as a maintenance worker and asked if she needed work done. When she declined, the subject forced his way into the residence, knocked the victim to the ground and placed a pillow over her nose and mouth. The victim began praying, believing she was about to die. The subject then got up and walked through the residence and committed theft of various personal jewelry items. The subject then left and the victim was able to activate an emergency alert button and received aid from caretakers who then notified police.

On March 20, 2018, Plano Police advised Frisco Detectives that Chemirmir had been arrested after an investigation led them to him. Further investigation by Frisco Detectives led them to believe that Chemirmir was the subject from the October 29, 2017 offense.

This case is still under investigation and no additional information will be released at this time. In collaboration with Plano Police Department, Dallas Police Department and the Richardson Police Department a tip line has been established for anyone with information related to Chemirmir or any suspicious deaths of elderly family members where theft was also discovered. Contact the Plano Police Department Tip Line at 972-941-5785.
