[ARCHIVED] Missing Frisco Resident Found Deceased

On Sunday, March 4th, 2018 around 5:00 pm, officers responded to a welfare call involving what appeared to be a deceased person near the railroad tracks north of Eldorado Pkwy. Upon investigation, the subject has now been identified as missing Frisco resident David G. Spence.


74 year old David G. Spence had been missing since Tuesday, February 27th, 2018, after walking away from his home near Eldorado Pkwy and Dallas Pkwy in Frisco, Texas. The Frisco Police Department, along with several surrounding agencies and concerned citizens, conducted a search of the surrounding areas but were unable to locate Mr. Spence. Railroad workers called police on March 4th, 2018 around 5:00 pm when they observed what appeared to be a deceased male near the railroad tracks in Frisco, North of Eldorado Pkwy, between Dallas Pkwy and Preston Rd. Frisco Police responded and found the man deceased with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound; however, the cause of death is still being investigated. With the assistance of the Collin County Medical Examiner’s Office, Officers have now been able to confirm the identity of the man to be David G. Spence. Our hearts go out to the Family of Mr. Spence, and we ask all to keep them in your thoughts and prayers during this trying time.
