[ARCHIVED] Shoplifting Suspect Arrested After Hit and Run Accident

On Friday, December 15th, 2017 at approximately 4:10 p.m. Frisco Police Officers responded to 2607 Preston Rd (JC Penny’s) in relation to a shoplifting suspect. The suspect entered a vehicle, and in attempting to flee the location, struck at least one vehicle and then a pedestrian in the parking lot. 

An Officer responding to the shoplifting call observed the suspect vehicle strike the pedestrian and drive away. The officer initiated a pursuit that lead into Plano Southbound on Preston Road where the suspect was eventually stopped south of Legacy Drive and taken into custody. The suspect has been identified as 57 year old Cassandra Timmons from Dallas, Texas. 

The victim, a 61 year old female, was transported by Frisco medics to Texas Health Resources Hospital in Plano, Texas with unknown injuries. 

No additional information is being released at this time pending further investigation.
