The Frisco Police Department would like to remind residents of the following mail and package theft prevention tips during this busy holiday season:

·        Promptly retrieve your mail and packages, especially if you are expecting to receive a check, gift cards, or merchandise. Do not leave your mail or packages unattended overnight.

·         Track your shipments to know when they are supposed to arrive. Most couriers allow you to set up alerts for incoming mail and packages.

·         If you cannot pick up your mail or packages, ask a trusted friend or family member to pick it up for you.

·         Request a signature be required upon delivery or request the shipment be held at the shipping facility for pick up.

·         If you do not receive your shipment on time, check with the company of origin and the carrier to verify it was actually delivered.

·         Set up video for home surveillance to deter thefts and assist law enforcement with identifying suspects.

·        Keep an eye on your neighborhood and report suspicious activity. If you see something, say something!
