[ARCHIVED] Frisco Police Investigate Single Vehicle Fatality Crash

The Frisco Police Department is investigating a single vehicle fatality crash. On Monday, October 30, 2017 at approximately 7:03 p.m., a black 2012 Kia Optima traveling southbound in the 6000 block of State Highway 121 left the roadway and crashed into a utility pole near the intersection of Leadership Drive and State Highway 121. The driver, 41 year old Sean Bates of Lewisville, Texas, was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger was transported from the scene with serious injuries to a nearby hospital by Frisco Fire Department Paramedics. A cause of the crash has not yet been determined and no charges have been filed at this time.
