[ARCHIVED] Frisco Police and Municipal Court Participate in Great Texas Warrant Round-up

Frisco Police and Municipal Court Participate in Great Texas Warrant Round-up.

For the tenth year in a row, the Frisco Police Department and the Frisco Municipal Court will participate in the annual Great Texas Warrant Round-up, which begins on February 25th, 2017. During the round-up, cities throughout Texas will be joining together to actively serve outstanding arrest warrants. While warrants are regularly served by each jurisdiction, this combined effort provides a much greater opportunity for people with warrants to be arrested.

The Frisco Municipal Court began mailing post cards and making courtesy phone calls on February 10th, 2017, giving individuals with outstanding warrants an opportunity to resolve their warrants by paying over the telephone, by appearing in person to post bonds, or by seeing a judge.

To avoid being arrested, individuals with outstanding warrants are encouraged to contact the Frisco Municipal Court. Individuals who appear at the Municipal Court, making a good-faith effort to resolve their warrants, will not be arrested.

The City of Frisco will be assigning a group of officers to a special task force with the sole purpose of tracking down individuals who have outstanding Frisco warrants and bringing them to justice. If you have outstanding warrants anywhere in Texas, you should handle them as soon as possible or face the possibility of being greeted by a police officer at your residence or place of employment.

Unpaid tickets and active warrants out of the City of Frisco can be handled by contacting the Frisco Municipal Court at (972) 292-5555, or by going online to www.friscotexas.gov/courtpayments.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of someone with Frisco warrants is encouraged to contact the Frisco Municipal Court as well. They can also send an anonymous tip by texting FRISCOPD and the tip to 847411 (tip411) or by using the Frisco PD app.
