New Online Map Shows Dallas Parkway Lane Closures & Construction Updates

(January 31, 2024) Keep up with the latest lane closures during ongoing Dallas Parkway construction with an all new interactive story map. The Traffic Engineering and GIS Divisions created this online map because of the increasing number of varying lane closures happening along  Dallas Pkwy. 

The North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA) is currently working on its Dallas North Tollway widening project through Frisco from SH 121 to US 380.  The project requires lane closures along Dallas Pkwy. as crews work on the bridges or outer walls of the DNT.  Additional lane closures are expected to begin in March, when the City of Frisco will start work to widen Dallas Pkwy. frontage roads between Lebanon Rd. and Panther Creek Pkwy. Both projects will take about two years to complete.

  • This new map will allow drivers to know which sections of Dallas Pkwy. are expected to have lane closures in the coming week and how that might impact the local commute.
  • The map will be updated every Monday with new information from the contractors doing work. 
  • Users will be able to zoom in on each planned closure to see which lanes will be closed, along with the days and times it is planned to happen. (Lane closures are subject to last minute changes due to equipment or weather issues, but should happen as described on the map.) 

The City of Frisco will continue to send out announcements about any road closures causing traffic to take detours. Please note: it's not possible to send out announcements about every single lane closure due to the number happening daily at varying locations.  Pack your patience and use the Dallas Pkwy. lane closure map to help plan your route.
