[ARCHIVED] FM 423 closed intermittently between Panther Creek Pkwy and Rockhill Pkwy, Monday night Oct. 23

(October 20, 2023) FM 423 will be closed intermittently between Panther Creek Pkwy. and Rockhill Pkwy. starting at 11 p.m. Monday night, October 23, so the power company can remove some power lines over the road. Specifically, both directions of FM 423 will be closed at Little Ranch Rd. for 15 minutes at a time (see PDF of map). The first closure is expected to occur at about 11 p.m. and the road will reopen for about 30 minutes in between each 15-minute closure. The road closures are expected to end by about 2 a.m. Tuesday morning.

During each closure, traffic on FM 423 will be stopped for 15 minutes and residents of the Glen View neighborhood will not be able to use Little Ranch Rd. to reach FM 423.  No detour will be posted, but local traffic can use Teel Pkwy. as an alternate route to go around the intermittent closure location.

Drivers should expect to be delayed on FM 423 between 11 p.m. and 2 a.m. and are encouraged to seek an alternative route in advance.

As a reminder, drivers can also use the Waze app to navigate around road closures.  Click here to learn about Waze or install it on your smartphone.
