City of Frisco to Host Inaugural 'Frisco International Fest', Saturday, Oct. 21, 3-8 p.m.

CITY OF FRISCO TO HOST INAUGURAL ‘FRISCO INTERNATIONAL FEST’ 
 ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 21, 3 – 8 P.M. 

(October 11, 2023) Preparations are underway for the City of Frisco’s inaugural Frisco International Fest planned for Saturday, October 21.  The event will be held in front of city hall at Simpson Plaza, 6101 Frisco Square Blvd. from 3 p.m. – 8 p.m.    

Vendors, concessionaires, and performers represent about a dozen countries throughout the world.   Singers, dancers, bands - even a comedian - will be showcased on stage beginning at 3 p.m.  To view a list of performers, check out FriscoTexas.gov/International   

A Dragon Dance takes to the stage at 7 p.m.  The traditional Chinese dance will feature lion dancers, drums, a gong and cymbals.  The 30-minute Dragon Dance will wind its way through four seasons, symbolizing prosperity along the way.    

Lawn games will be part of the fun! There will also be martial art demonstrations and Chinese calligraphy, too.    

Frisco’s inaugural event finishes with a 15-minute laser show finale, bursting with beams of color.  

The first-time festival in Frisco is a collaboration with community members representing the Frisco Inclusion Committee, Downtown Advisory Board, US-China Chamber of Commerce, the Frisco Independent School District and city departments including Parks & Recreation (PlayFrisco), Frisco Public Library, Communications as well as the Frisco Police and Fire departments.
