[ARCHIVED] NB Dallas Pkwy. (and NB DNT exit ramp) closed (PGA Pkwy to University Dr.) starting Friday night

(September 28, 2023) As part of NTTA’s Tollway construction project, the northbound Dallas Pkwy. frontage road will be closed between PGA Pkwy. and University Dr. (US 380) for up to two days starting Friday night, September 29.  In addition, the northbound Dallas North Tollway (DNT) exit ramp to University Dr. (US 380) will be closed at the same time.  The roads will close at 9 p.m. Friday night and will reopen by Sunday afternoon (October 1).  If the project goes smoothly, it is possible the roads could reopen Saturday night, but drivers should plan for the roads to be closed into Sunday.

  • During these road closures, northbound traffic on the Dallas Pkwy. frontage road must turn left or right onto PGA Pkwy.  Those turning left can use Legacy Dr. to reach University Dr. to the west and those turning right can use Preston Rd. to reach University Dr. to the east.
  • Traffic wishing to travel north into Prosper can use the Dallas North Tollway (DNT) by using the entrance ramp south of PGA Pkwy.  Northbound traffic on the DNT trying to reach University Dr. (US 380) will need to take an earlier exit (the exit to PGA Pkwy.) and then follow the posted detour to Preston Rd.  See map.

Drivers are urged to use caution in the work zone and to seek an alternate route in advance.  As a reminder, drivers can also use the Waze app to navigate around road closures.  Click here to learn about Waze or install it on your smartphone.
