[ARCHIVED] Traffic Advisory: Leagues Cup Soccer Match at Toyota Stadium on Sunday, August 6

(August 4, 2023) There will be increased traffic around Toyota Stadium on Sunday evening, August 6, due to the Leagues Cup soccer match between FC Dallas and Inter Miami.  Before and after the game, local traffic might experience delay on northbound Dallas Pkwy. between Cotton Gin Rd. and Main St. and may want to use an alternate route to avoid stadium traffic.  In addition, the following roads will be closed during the rush of traffic after the game:

  • Eastbound Cotton Gin Rd. will be closed between Legacy Dr. and Dallas Pkwy.
  • Cotton Gin Rd. will be closed underneath the Dallas North Tollway
  • Northbound, southbound and westbound left turns will be prohibited at Frisco St. & All Stars Ave.
  • Southbound Frisco St. will be closed at Sports Village Rd.

Between about 6 to 8 p.m., moderate traffic is expected on northbound Dallas Pkwy. approaching Main St.  After the game, heavy traffic is expected in all directions at the intersection of Dallas Pkwy. and Main St. between about 9:30 to 11:30 p.m.  Also during that time, any traffic using Cotton Gin Rd. will be forced to turn right onto Dallas Pkwy. and traffic movements on Frisco St. will be restricted as described above.

When leaving the event, some turning movements will be restricted around Toyota Stadium to maximize the efficiency of outbound traffic. The route you take to exit Toyota Stadium will depend on where you are parked (see PDF map of exit routes)

Visitors and residents can use the Waze app to navigate in and out of the stadium area.  The app will provide navigation assistance based on real-time road closure and traffic flow information.
