(April 17, 2023) The intersection of Hillcrest Rd and Lebanon Rd will be partially closed in various ways over a number of days starting Monday, April 17, so a power pole can be replaced and the power lines can be rehung. The closures will start Monday night, April 17, and continue through Thursday, April 20.  At different times, this will include single lane closures, closures of one direction of Lebanon, and short closures of the entire intersection.  The details of each closure are summarized in the attached maps and described below.   

Monday night, April 17  - See attached map

Westbound Lebanon Rd will be closed just west of Hillcrest Rd.  The road will close Monday night at 9 p.m. and will reopen by 5 a.m. Tuesday morning.  During this closure, any traffic wishing to travel west from this intersection will be diverted south on Hillcrest Rd to turn right on Warren Pkwy and then right on Ohio Dr to return to Lebanon Rd.  Detour signs will be posted. 

In addition, at various times over the night the entire intersection will be closed for short durations.  During these times, police cars will block the intersection and hold traffic for a few minutes and then open it again.  (However, the westbound departure onto Lebanon will remain closed throughout the night.) 

Tuesday, April 18 - See attached map

One lane of westbound and eastbound Lebanon Rd will be closed between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.  No detours are necessary but motorists should expect delay at the intersection. 

Wednesday, April 19 - See attached map

Phase 1:  One lane of westbound Lebanon Rd will be closed between 9 a.m. and about 11:30 a.m.  In addition, all traffic on southbound Hillcrest Rd will be channeled into one lane to enter the intersection. Drivers should expect delay at the intersection. 

Phase 2:  Eastbound Lebanon Rd will be closed just east of Hillcrest Rd between about 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.  During this closure, any traffic wishing to travel east from this intersection will be diverted north on Hillcrest Rd to turn right on College Pkwy and then right on Coit Rd to return to Lebanon Rd.  Detour signs will be posted. 

Thursday, April 20 - See attached map

Westbound Lebanon Rd will be closed just west of Hillcrest Rd.  The road will close at 9 a.m. and will reopen by 2 p.m.  During this closure, any traffic wishing to travel west from this intersection will be diverted south on Hillcrest Rd to turn right on Warren Pkwy and then right on Ohio Dr to return to Lebanon Rd.  Detour signs will be posted. 

In addition, at various times between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., the entire intersection will be closed for short durations.  During these times, police cars will block the intersection and hold traffic for a few minutes and then open it again.  (However, the westbound departure onto Lebanon will remain closed throughout the night.)  Drivers should avoid the intersection during this time to avoid the potential delay. 

Conclusion 

During these four days of closures, drivers are urged to use caution in the work zone and to seek an alternate route in advance to avoid the expected delay or detours.
