[ARCHIVED] Main Street, Frisco Street closed Saturday morning for Community Parade

(November 10, 2022) Main St. will be closed between World Cup Way and Dogwood St. on Saturday, November 12, between 6 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. for the Frisco Community Parade.  In addition, Frisco St. will be closed between Technology Dr. and Main St. 

During the closure, traffic will not be able to travel through downtown Frisco on Main St. and will not be able to cross from one side of Main St. to the other (see attached map).  Eastbound through traffic on Main St. should take Dallas Pkwy north to Eldorado Pkwy or south to Stonebrook Pkwy to go around downtown.  Westbound through traffic should take Preston Rd. north to Eldorado Pkwy or south to Stonebrook Pkwy.  Only local traffic will be allowed on Main St. between Preston Rd. and Dogwood St..  

Parade spectators and downtown customers will be limited to parking north or south of Main St. depending on how they approach downtown (see attached PDF of map).  No side street traffic will be able to cross Main St. between Frisco St. and Dogwood St.  

Traffic heading to Frisco Square or the Frisco Public Library should approach the area from the west or from Dallas Pkwy.  Use southbound Dallas Pkwy and turn left onto Main St. and then turn right onto World Cup Way; or use northbound Dallas Pkwy and turn right onto Page St. (see attached PDF of map)

Traffic heading to Fieldhouse USA, Frisco Fresh Market, Candlewood Suites, Holiday Inn Express, La Quinta Inn, Waterford Market Apartments, or the businesses located on John W. Elliott Dr. or Technology Dr. will need to approach these areas from the north end of John W. Elliott Dr.  Eastbound traffic on Main St. will need to turn left onto World Cup Way and then turn right onto Technology Dr., which provides access to John W. Elliott Dr.  Westbound traffic will need to take Eldorado Pkwy and turn left onto Frisco St. and then turn left onto Technology Dr.
