[ARCHIVED] Simpson Plaza closed Saturday for Trick or Treat Event

UPDATED 10/28/2022: Due to the rain, the previously announced road closures for Saturday’s Trick or Treat event have changed.  Most of Coleman Boulevard will now be closed in addition to parts of Frisco Square Blvd.

(October 27, 2022) Coleman Blvd. and the roads around Simpson Plaza will be closed Saturday, October 29, between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. for “Trick or Treat the Square.”  As a result, there will be no vehicular access to the front of the Frisco Public Library or to businesses on Coleman Blvd.  During this closure, Frisco Square residents, customers, library patrons, and those attending the event will need to take alternate routes to their destinations. See map (PDF).  Detour signs will be posted.

Library patrons approaching the building on Main St. should turn south on Frisco St. or John W. Elliott Dr. in order to reach the free parking garage behind the library.  Patrons approaching on northbound Dallas Pkwy. can turn east onto Page St.  ADA accessible parking is available on each level of the parking garage next to the elevator.  The drive-through lane behind the building will be fully accessible for book drop-off and pick-up.

Frisco Square customers and those attending the event (which runs from 1- 4 p.m.) can park in the western parking garages (west of Coleman Blvd.) or the east Frisco Square parking lot (east of Coleman Blvd.). Customers turning onto Coleman Blvd. will be detoured towards the western parking garages.  Customers heading to the east Frisco Square parking lot will need to access it by turning right from Main St. or by using Frisco Street. See map (PDF) Customers and event traffic can also park in the parking garage behind the Frisco Public Library and City Hall by using the routes described in the paragraph above.

Drivers may consider using the Waze app to navigate around road closures.  Click here to learn about Waze or install it on your smartphone.
