[ARCHIVED] PGA Pkwy Closed at Dallas Pkwy Nightly, July 26-28

(July 25, 2022) As part of NTTA’s Tollway expansion project, the middle of the intersection of PGA Pkwy and Dallas Pkwy will be closed Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights, July 26-28.  The intersection will close each night at 9 p.m. and reopen the following morning at 5 a.m.

During each nightly closure, east and westbound PGA Pkwy will be closed under the bridge of the Tollway.  Through traffic on Dallas Pkwy will not be affected but no traffic will be able to make a left-turn or a u-turn at this intersection.  The specific road closures are shown on the attached map and described below.  Detour signs will be posted.

  • Eastbound PGA Pkwy will be closed at Dallas Pkwy and all traffic on that road will be forced to turn right onto southbound Dallas Pkwy.  Drivers  can make a u-turn at the Fields Pkwy underpass and then use northbound Dallas Pkwy to reach PGA Pkwy and continue their journey east.
  • Westbound PGA Pkwy will be closed between Preston Rd and Dallas Pkwy. Drivers will need to use Preston Rd to go north to US 380 or south to Eldorado Pkwy in order to reach Dallas Pkwy.
  • Northbound Dallas Pkwy will not be affected except that no one on that road will be able to turn left onto westbound PGA Pkwy.  Drivers wanting to make this movement can follow the detour described above by making a u-turn at US 380.
  • Southbound Dallas Pkwy will not be affected except that no one on that road will be able to turn left onto eastbound PGA Pkwy.  Drivers wanting to make this movement can follow the detour described above by making a u-turn at the Fields Pkwy underpass.

Drivers are urged to use caution in the work zone and to seek an alternate route in advance.  As a reminder, drivers can also use the Waze app to navigate around road closures.  Click here to learn about Waze or install it on your smartphone.
