[ARCHIVED] Northbound Dallas Parkway Closed between Panther Creek Parkway

(May 13, 2022) Expect traffic delays on Saturday morning, May 14, as various intersections along Legacy Drive and the SH 121 frontage road will be controlled by police officers. Segments of the northbound Dallas Parkway (and some adjoining roads) will also be closed for the "Bike MS" ride.  See map (PDF).

The ride starts at 7 a.m. at the Westin Stonebriar Hotel and travels east on Town & Country Boulevard, south on Legacy Drive, east on the northbound SH 121 frontage road, and then travels north on Dallas Parkway to University Drive (US 380) and then out of Frisco.  The Frisco Police Department will be controlling the intersections along this route in order to facilitate the movement of cyclists through Frisco.

In addition, these roadways will be closed between 6:30 a.m. and 10 a.m.:

  •  The northbound Dallas Parkway frontage road between Panther Creek Parkway and University Drive (US 380).
Northbound motorists should use the Dallas North Tollway or Preston Road as alternate routes to US 380.  Motorists on Panther Creek Parkway and PGA Parkway will have to u-turn to access the northbound Dallas North Tollway. Turn south on Dallas Parkway, make a u-turn at Eldorado Parkway, and then use the northbound entrance ramp.

  • The northbound exit ramp from the Dallas North Tollway to PGA Parkway

  • Cobb Hill Drive between Dallas Parkway and the Texas Health Hospital Frisco driveway
Cobb Hill residents should use Eldorado Parkway or Panther Creek Parkway.

  • Newton Drive between Dallas Parkway and Woodsboro Way.

  • Police will also be controlling the intersection of Dallas Parkway and University Drive (US 380) where the bicycle ride will continue north into Prosper.

Drivers are urged to use caution in the area and to seek an alternate route in advance. Use the Waze app to navigate around road closures. Click here to learn about Waze or install it on your smartphone.
