Improved Shuttle Service in Place For Frisco Freedom Fest Presented by CoServ on July 4

(July 1, 2021) Frisco Freedom Fest Presented by CoServ is back on July 4 from 4:00 p.m. through fireworks at Simpson Plaza in Frisco Square. The event includes amusements, food, live music, and of course, a Fireworks Extravaganza in celebration of America’s birthday.

One key change to the annual event is an improved shuttle service route to alleviate parking congestion around the event area.  Those attending the event are strongly encouraged to take advantage of the free shuttle. Several roads will be closed and some parking areas available in year’s past will not be an option this year.  The public parking garage behind the City Hall/Frisco Public Library building will be closed to the public except for those with ADA placards for handicap parking.

The two parking lots serviced by the shuttle route are (see map):

  • Frisco High School (west parking lot) – 6401 Parkwood Blvd.
Please access the west side of the school from northbound Dallas Parkway.
  • Frisco Discovery Center – 8004 N. Dallas Pkwy.
Please access the parking lot from northbound on Dallas Parkway.

The third stop on the route is the shuttle drop off on Page St. and will take guest right to the southern edge of the Freedom Fest area. Shuttle buses will continuously loop along this route throughout the event. When fireworks end, a total of 11 shuttle buses will be lined up to take guest back to their vehicles for a more efficient exit from Frisco Square.

The Toyota Stadium exit route map has changed. Don’t forget to use the Waze app to help you navigate around road closures and traffic.

The fun kicks off at 4:00 p.m. with the National Anthem, a flyover of Chinook helicopters and a welcome from Mayor Jeff Cheney. The event includes a Patriotic Vendor Village with bites and treats from Taste of Frisco vendors. Don’t miss the Children’s ExpoHometown Heroes exhibit, a Classic Car Show and the Community Stage with live music all day and featured entertainers Petty Theft, Jordan Kahn Orchestra and Dallas Cowboys Rhythm & Blue. Fox 4 Sports’ own Mike Doocy is your emcee for the night! Top it all off with the Fireworks Extravaganza launching at approximately 9:45 p.m. following the FC Dallas game vs. the Vancouver Whitecaps.

There’s plenty of fun of July 3, too, with the Hotter ‘n Firecrackers 5K & Glow Run, Cornhole Tournament and Dachshund Dash. The Cornhole Tournament spots are full, but you can sign up at the event for the glow run and Dachshund Dash.
