[ARCHIVED] Many Frisco Square Area Streets Closed Saturday Morning, March 13

(March 11, 2021)  Many streets in the Frisco Square area will be closed Saturday morning, March 13, between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. for a 5K race (see attached map - PDF).

  • Frisco Square Boulevard will be closed between World Cup Way and Frisco Street; 
  • Page Street will be closed between the city hall parking garage and Burlington Street; 
  • Library Street will be closed between Frisco Square Boulevard and Cotton Gin Road; and 
  • Cotton Gin Road will be closed between Dallas Parkway and Library Street.  

During this closure, drivers will not be able to access the plaza in front of City Hall and the Frisco Library; however, they can access the free municipal parking garage behind the building by approaching it on Page Street from the west. Direct access to the drive-up library book drop-off will be temporarily blocked during this time.  Library patrons can still drive into the parking garage to park near the book drop-off. The roads will be open when the Library opens at 10 a.m.

 The following groups should use Main Street and Coleman Boulevard to access the parking lots behind the Frisco Square businesses:

  • Race participants
  • Business traffic on Coleman Blvd.
  • Residents who live north of the Frisco Square plaza

 The following groups should use northbound Dallas Parkway or World Cup Way to reach Page Street to access the free parking garage behind City Hall and the Library:

  • Race participants
  • Library staff and patrons who arrive before 10:00 a.m. (including book drop-off traffic)

The following groups should use Main Street and John W. Elliott Drive to access those facilities:

  • Frisco Heritage Center
  • Residents who live east of Library Street

Traffic headed to the Frisco Discovery Center before 10:00 a.m. will need to access the facility using its driveway on northbound Dallas Parkway.

Drivers are urged to use caution in the work zone and to seek an alternate route in advance. Please consider using the Waze app to navigate around road closures. Learn more and download the app to your smartphone.
