Trash and Recycling Collection Resumes; DIY Trash/Waste Drop-Off Available

(February 22, 2021) Residential trash collections are underway today after last week's delay in service due to the winter weather emergency. Please remember to set ‘extra bags’ of trash next to your cart (not on top) on your regularly scheduled collection day. Our contractor, Waste Connections, will pick up your recycling after crews are done collecting trash.  Given this week’s big job ahead to ‘catch up’, your recycling may be picked up on a different day than your trash day.  Again, we want to remind everyone to leave out your carts until serviced.

  • DIY trash is available at the Plano Parkway Transfer Station, 4030 W. Plano Pkwy. Your Frisco water bill and ID are required. We have suspended the ‘two-visit-a-month’ rule for the month of February.

  • DIY yard waste is available at Custer Transfer Station, 9901 Custer Road and the Environmental Collection Center, 6616 Walnut St. Your Frisco water bill and ID are required.

  • DIY construction waste, homeowners only:  Call 972-292-5900, #0 and request a voucher for the Melissa Landfill, 3820 Sam Rayburn Highway. Since trash and waste have piled up in some cases, we've suspended the ‘one-visit-a-month’ rule for the month of February.

If you need a dumpster for construction debris due to home damage, call 972-292-5900, #5. We’ll help get a dumpster delivered to your home.  If you need bulk collection for large items, call 972-292-5900, #0.

The Environmental Collection Center, 6616 Walnut Street, resumes regular hours this week for recycling and Household Hazardous Waste drop-off.  No trash is accepted at the Walnut Street location.
