[ARCHIVED] New traffic signal on W. Stonebrook Pkwy at Anthem Dr

(July 20, 2020) A new traffic signal on W. Stonebrook Pkwy at Anthem Dr will be activated in the flashing mode on Tuesday, July 21. While in the flashing mode, traffic on W. Stonebrook Pkwy will not have to stop at the flashing yellow light. Traffic on Anthem Dr will see a flashing red light and will continue to stop at the stop signs.

The stop signs will be removed and the traffic signal will become fully operational on Thursday, July 23. Shortly thereafter, the existing crosswalk with flashing beacons located east of Anthem Dr will be removed. Pedestrians that were using this crosswalk to cross W. Stonebrook Pkwy should now use the crosswalk at the new traffic signal. Drivers of street-legal golf carts who were using this crosswalk should now drive with regular traffic along Anthem Dr and use the new traffic signal to cross W. Stonebrook Pkwy. The traffic signal will automatically detect golf carts in the same way it detects cars so any golf cart that is first in line at the traffic signal should pull up to the stop line painted on the pavement and wait for the green light.

Drivers are urged to use caution at this intersection as people become accustomed to the new traffic control patterns.
