About Play Frisco - Parks & Recreation

Have You Played Today?

Welcome to the Frisco Parks & Recreation Department. We invite you to discover the benefits of play. Research tells us that play is important for both children and adults to reduce stress, build self-confidence, improve brain function, improve relationships and connections to others, not to mention the physical benefits and joy it brings. No matter what your age, we invite you to play in Frisco.

Our Mission

Leading Frisco by creating a sense of well being through play.

The Frisco Parks & Recreation Department is one of only 115 cities nationwide to be accredited by the National Recreation & Park Association, and a proud three-time winner of the Texas Recreation and Parks Society Gold Medal Award for Excellence in Parks and Recreation Management.

We look forward to seeing you play at your parks and trails, the Frisco Athletic Center, The Senior Center at Frisco Square, The Frisco Discovery Center, The Frisco Heritage Center, and to explore Frisco through our Public Art Program.
