Our Mission 

Our mission is to be dedicated, environmentally responsible stewards of our community and the earth. Our goal is to sustain and improve the quality of life of all who call Frisco their home and to safeguard our natural resources for present and future generations. We are responsible for residential recycling and trash services, commercial building waste and recycling services, environmental education and outreach, and household hazardous waste safe disposal.

Holiday Closures

The Environmental Collection Center, Household Chemicals and Electronics Drop-off, and the Environmental Services Offices are closed on the following days:

Veteran's Day Parade: November 11
Thanksgiving Holiday: November 23 - 25
Winter Holiday: December 25 - 26 (Household Chemicals & Electronic Drop-off also closed 12/27)
New Years: January 1 (Household Chemicals & Electronic Drop-off also closed 1/2)

Weekly Curbside Services on Holiday Schedules

Recycling, trash, and yard waste collection will be delayed by one day on the following holidays:

Thanksgiving Holiday: November 23. If your waste is regularly serviced on Thursday, please set out carts for collection on Friday, November 24. If your regular service day is Friday, please set out carts for collection on Saturday, November 25. Regular service schedule will resume Monday, November 27.

Winter Holiday: December 25. If your waste is regularly serviced on Monday, please set out carts for collection on Tuesday, December 26. If your regular service day is Tuesday, please set out carts for collection on Wednesday, December 27. If your regular service day is Wednesday, please set out carts for collection on Thursday, December 28.  If your regular service day is Thursday, please set out carts for collection on Friday, December 29.  If your regular service day is Friday, please set out carts for collection on Saturday, December 30. 

New Years: January 1. If your waste is regularly serviced on Monday, please set out carts for collection on Tuesday, January 2. If your regular service day is Tuesday, please set out carts for collection on Wednesday, January 3. If your regular service day is Wednesday, please set out carts for collection on Thursday, January 4.  If your regular service day is Thursday, please set out carts for collection on Friday, January 5.  If your regular service day is Friday, please set out carts for collection on Saturday, January 6. Regular service schedule will resume Monday, January 8.

Did you know that you can drop-off items like household cleaners, automotive chemicals, fertilizers, paints, light bulbs, batteries, and electronics for environmentally safe disposal and recycling?

We're now open 5 days a week!  Visit Household Chemical Disposal for the hours and the accepted items. 

Chunk Your Junk Logo

Next Chunk Your Junk is February 17, 2024 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Environmental Collection Center.

Consider avoiding the crowds by visiting our Household Chemical and Electronics Reuse and Disposal Center  During our extended hours 5 days a week Tuesday through Sat (visit the link above for more information on hours and restrictions) to dispose of household chemicals and electronics. Single-stream recycling, cardboard, Styrofoam, oil, clothing donations, and batteries can be taken to our facility at 6616 Walnut Street from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Trash and yard waste can be taken to the Custer Transfer Station at 9901 Custer Road in Plano, open Mon-Sat 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Bring your driver’s license and a current Frisco water bill with matching address when you visit.
