Our mission is to be dedicated, environmentally responsible stewards of our community and the earth. Our goal is to sustain and improve the quality of life of all who call Frisco their home and to safeguard our natural resources for present and future generations. We are responsible for residential recycling and trash services, commercial building waste and recycling services, environmental education and outreach, and household hazardous waste safe disposal.
Environmental Services offices and the Environmental Collection Center will be closed on Friday, April 7, in observation of Spring Holiday. Curbside services for Trash, Recycle, and Yard waste will run on regular schedule. The Environmental Collection Center including the Household Chemicals and Electronics Disposal and Reuse Center will be open on Saturday from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Did you know that you can drop-off items like household cleaners, automotive chemicals, fertilizers, paints, light bulbs, batteries, and electronics for environmentally safe disposal and recycling?
Follow the instructions to book online (choose next available), fill out the form, and arrive during the 15 minutes allotted with your current Frisco water bill, matching driver's license and the items you're disposing.
Next Chunk Your Junk is August 19, 2023 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Environmental Collection Center.
Environmental Services has extended the time for Chunk Your Junk by 1 hour!
Consider avoiding the crowds by visiting our Household Chemical and Electronics Reuse and Disposal Center During our extended hours 5 days a week Tuesday through Sat (visit the link above for more information on hours and restrictions) to dispose of household chemicals and electronics. Single-stream recycling, cardboard, Styrofoam, oil, clothing donations, and batteries can be taken to our facility at 6616 Walnut Street from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Trash and yard waste can be taken to the Custer Transfer Station at 9901 Custer Road in Plano, open Mon-Sat 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Bring your driver’s license and a current Frisco water bill with matching address when you visit.
