Uniform Crime Reporting

The Frisco Police Department participates in the Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) Program, which was conceived in 1929 by the International Association of Chiefs of Police to meet a need for reliable, uniform crime statistics for the nation.

In 1930, the Federal Bureau of Investigation began collecting, publishing and archiving UCR statistics. Today, nearly 17,000 law enforcement agencies across the United States report their annual crime statistics to the FBI, including the Frisco Police Department.

For more information on Frisco's most recent UCR Statistics (PDF), please email the Records Manager Teresa Presley at 972.292.6000 or email the Records Division.
