Motor vehicle crash reports, written by Frisco Police Department officers, are available for purchase for $6. To obtain a crash report in person or by mail, complete a request for crash report form and return the form to the police department, along with payment of $6.00 (or $8.00 for certified reports) to the Frisco Police Department Records Division, 7200 Stonebrook Pkwy, Frisco, Texas 75034. Checks should be made payable to the City of Frisco. Crash reports are usually available 3-5 business days after the crash.
Driver’s Crash Reports (CR-2) are also available online. The CR-2, also called a “blue form,” can be completed by a driver of a vehicle involved in a crash that is not investigated by a Frisco Police Department officer.
The driver of a motor vehicle involved in a crash not investigated by a law enforcement officer and resulting in injury to or death of any person, or damage to the property of any one person, including himself, to any apparent extent of at least one thousand dollars ($1,000), must within 10 days after such crash complete and forward CR-2 report in accordance with the instructions on the CR-2. Many times, an officer will be called to the scene of the accident but allow drivers to exchange information and advises them to complete this form.
