The Records Division provides essential support services to the patrol and investigative divisions, the general public, and other criminal justice agencies.

Divisional responsibilities include open records requests, state-mandated crash reporting, Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR), alarm permitting, inter-governmental agency requests, clearance letters, subpoenas, and public fingerprinting services. 

The Records Division is also responsible for the management and coordination of all police records in accordance with state retention guidelines, expunctions, and court-ordered sealings.
