Expired Violations

To request a proof-of-compliance dismissal online:

For certain violations, you may be eligible to have a citation dismissed. To have a citation dismissed for compliance or proof of remedy, you must:

  • Get the violation corrected within 20 working days from the date of your citation and provide proof to that effect to the court within 20 working days from the date of your citation
  • Proof of remedy may be provided in person, by mail, or via online submission that is satisfactory to the Court
  • Proof of correction for Expired Registration must show that a 20% penalty was paid to the Department of Motor Vehicles at the time the registration was renewed. If the penalty is not paid, the Municipal Court cannot dismiss the citation
  • Pay an administrative fee.

$20 Dismissal Fee Offenses

  • Expired vehicle registration
  • Expired driver's license
  • Fail to report a change of address or name on driver's license
  • An expired disabled parking placard

$10.00 Dismissal Fee Offenses

  • Display altered, unclean, or obscured license plates
  • Operate vehicle without two plates
  • Operate vehicle without valid registration displayed
  • Display registration for a period other than in effect
  • Fail to display driver's license
  • Violate drivers license restriction or endorsement
  • Operate vehicle with defective equipment
