School Tours

As we are following the guidelines set out by the City of Frisco in conjunction with the Governor's guidelines found in www.opentexas.gov ,  we are not accepting reservations for in-person school tours during the first semester of 2020-21 school year.  We will reassess as we get closer to the second semester.  Everyone wash your hands, wear a mask and be well!

Curriculum for school tours is aligned to second grade Texas Essential Knowledge and Skill (TEKS) standards, but may be adjusted for other age groups upon request. A full tour of the Frisco Heritage Museum includes:

  • examples of how modes of transportation changed over time to shape the development of communities
  • an overview of life in Frisco when it was a small farming community
  • how cotton goes from field to cloth and its once important role in the area's economy
  • hands-on experience of printing on a vintage letterpress
  • living history presentation in our one-room schoolhouse

$5 per student, $4 per parent, teachers accompanying class are free of charge. Advance reservation is required.
