Day of Service: Mayor's Hometown Huddle

You're invited to step up for service during the first-ever Hometown Huddle in Frisco!

The City of Frisco is teaming up with the Dallas Cowboys and the Gene and Jerry Jones Family Foundation to support a full day of service, benefiting the Frisco community.

To register, please complete our online registration process to become part of our Municipal Volunteer Program. Once you are a registered volunteer, it's easy to reserve shifts with our new My Impact app!

Please note that when using the app, the number next to each opportunity notes the number of shifts available, not the number of volunteer positions.

Opportunities:

Paws in the Pool

Frisco Athletic Center
Shifts: 8:30 a.m. - 11:15 a.m., 10:45 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
  • Volunteers will help with this annual event at the Frisco Water Park (Frisco Athletic Center). Tasks include helping monitor pets from getting out of the exit/entrance gates, helping with check-in/promo items, and helping with set up and clean up.  
  • Please note: some positions are on dry land; others may require folks to be calf-deep or waist-deep in the water.

Cottonwood Creek

Cottonwood Creek Greenbelt
Shift: 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
  • Volunteers will help with litter clean-up and weed removal along the Cottonwood Creek Greenbelt and trail.

Community Garden at The Grove at Frisco Commons

East of Frisco Commons, 8000 McKinney Rd
Shift: 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
  • Volunteers will help seal and stain the new tool shed at the Community Garden, as well as helping to seal the concrete floor.
  • Volunteers will also help create demo planter (U Plant It box).

Hope Park

Frisco Commons, 8000 McKinney Rd
Shift: 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
  • Volunteers will help with painting, staining and touch-ups of the playground area.

Warren Sports Complex

7599 Eldorado Pkwy
Shift: 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
  • Volunteers will help seal and stain the fence along Rogers Road.

Shawnee Trail Demonstration Garden

Located near Shawnee Trail Elementary School, 10701 Preston Vineyard Drive.
Shift: 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
  • Volunteers will help prune plants and remove weeds.
