May is Bike Month!


National Bike Month, promoted by the League of American Bicyclists, is a celebration of the benefits of bicycling. We host bike-themed activities and group rides during the month to encourage people to play with their bikes!

2022 Bike Month Activities

May 1National Ride a Bike Day The first Saturday of every Bike Month.
May 4National Bike N' Roll to School DayCity of Frisco's Transportation Division, Frisco Police, and Frisco ISD encourage students to bike and roll to school together.
May 7Frisco Tour De FourFour different rides in each quadrant in the City. See below for more information.
May 20Bike to Work DayShawnee Trail and Preston Ridge Cycling Clubs will have energizer stations setup at The Colony Connector and on Taychas Trail at 121.
May 21Roll with the CouncilA monthly bike ride with members of the Frisco City Council

Bike Month 2022 MedalFrisco Tour de Four

Explore sites in the city and learn about cycling in Frisco on one of the 4 rides hosted by the Frisco Bike Advisory Committee on May 7.  Local bike clubs, Shawnee Trail Cycling Club and Preston Ridge Cycling Club will each host a morning ride and an afternoon ride in different quadrants of the city. Participants will receive some Play Frisco swag plus each finisher of at least 1 ride will receive a commemorative Frisco Tour De Four medal while supplies last.  Participants may choose to participate in a morning and afternoon ride. 

May 7, 2022 at 10:00 a.m.

1. Shawnee Trail Cycling Club will start at the Bike Mart            building at US 380 and Hollyhock 

3. Preston Ridge Cycling Club will start at Harold Bacchus        Park

May 7, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. 

2. Shawnee Trail Cycling Club will start at BF Phillips Community Park

4. Preston Ridge Cycling Club will start at Northeast Community Park
