K9 Unit

The Frisco Police Department started its K-9 Unit in 2015. It is currently a specialized unit made up of two K-9 teams. The K-9 unit is used on a city wide basis and is predominantly used for the search of illegal narcotics. The K-9 unit is also used for tracking suspects, handler protection, and evidence recovery. The K-9 unit is used to support patrol and detective operations.
