Welcome to Frisco Fire Safety Town

Frisco Fire Clown Siren

At Frisco Fire Safety Town we teach children about safety in a fun and interactive environment.  Our year-round safety education classes, run by the Frisco Fire Department, focus on teaching students how to prevent injuries and stay safe.  Since opening in January 2007, we have welcomed well over 260,000 visitors to our facility!

For information about scheduling a tour, call us at 972-292-6350.  All classes can be scheduled online. Click the blue box above.

Fire Safety Town includes classrooms, an interactive fire engine and a safety house - which features a realistic living area, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom, where children explore and learn about home hazards, severe weather and more.

The fun and learning continue outside in our 'mini Frisco,' with small buildings that resemble local businesses and landmarks. Visitors wander through the area on paved roads, complete with street signs and working traffic and crosswalk signals, a railroad crossing and a toll booth.

Many activities are 'hands-on,' including letting students drive battery-operated jeeps throughout the outdoor streets of Safety Town, as they learn about the importance of seatbelts. They also get to ride bicycles after classroom lessons about wearing helmets while cycling.

Inside our popular CORE Construction/Farmers Insurance Theatre,  students see a typical family room as it would appear 'after the fire.' The melted blinds and soot-covered walls serve to emphasize the damage done by the fire, smoke and heat.  A video and real-life firefighter use sound and visual effects to lead visitors through an emergency situation, spotlighting possible causes, the 9-1-1 call, the extinguishment and investigation.

Frisco Fire Safety Town is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.   We are located at Frisco Central Fire Station, 8601 Gary Burns Drive in Frisco.
