Third graders visiting Frisco Fire Safety Town will study “Bicycle & Pedestrian Safety” during their safety program. The class will last approximately one and a half hours and will include:
- a short classroom presentation
- students riding bicycles throughout
the outdoor Safety Town streets
- students using pedestrian signals to
cross streets safely
During the class, students will learn:
- the proper way to fit a helmet
- why helmets should be used when riding any type of wheeled
toy
To assist classroom educators, we have created a Third Grade Pre-Visit Teacher Resource Guide that includes an overview of the “Bicycle & Pedestrian Safety” program.
The third grade classroom has a maximum capacity of 45 children. Programs are taught twice each day at 9:45 a.m. and again at 11:45 a.m.
Currently, those elementary students attending public, private or home schools in Frisco or Frisco I.S.D. will have priority when scheduling programs.
Other schools or districts who would like to visit Frisco Fire Safety Town will be accommodated as scheduling permits. We will work with your group to arrange scheduling for your grade level or campus.
