Do I have to schedule a Safe & Sound Walk-Around or can I just show up?

Yes!  During the school year, daily safety education programs are dedicated to elementary school students. Frisco I.S.D. elementary students are given the first option of scheduling through mid-October each year.  After this, any remaining open program dates are offered to other groups and districts.

We also offer programs during the week of spring break and throughout the summer months in order to provide daycares, community groups and individuals across the area the opportunity to visit Frisco Fire Safety Town.  Information regarding those programs is available under the Programs tab.

Is there anything for my preschooler to do at Frisco Fire Safety Town?
Preschoolers are invited to attend a Safe & Sound Walk-Around (educational tour) of Frisco Fire Safety Town.  During the walk-around, which usually last approximately thirty minutes, children and adults have the opportunity to learn various safety lessons while touring the indoor and outdoor areas of the facility. The walk-around also features a kid-friendly fire engine that children love to explore!  The youngsters are invited to practice crosswalk safety and pedestrian skills in our mini-town after the tour. (Jeep and bike rides are not part of the tour experience.)

Is there a fee to attend the programs?
There is no fee for our visitors.  All tours, school year and summer programs as well as events are funded jointly by the City of Frisco and the generosity of our many sponsors.

My children want to come and drive a jeep and ride bicycles at FFST.  Can we stop by and do this?
After a classroom program has been completed, children are rewarded with the opportunity to participate in the outdoor activities within the safety of Frisco Fire Safety Town.  We also offer rides to the public during our summer event: Friday Nights are Family Nights. This event runs 5-8 PM on Friday nights in June, July and August.

I've seen some Frisco Fire Safety Town t-shirts that kids are wearing.  Where can I buy them?
Our Frisco Fire Safety Town General Store is open and located just inside of our educational building.  We sell t-shirts, ball caps, pencils, fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, weather radios and other items for both adults and children.  New to the store are some of our most requested items - Frisco Fire Department t-shirts and outerwear!
