Relay for Life
Mayor's Youth Council members were among the more than 900 participants in the May 15, 2010 Relay for Life event at Memorial Stadium in Frisco. MYC members raised $925 for the American Cancer Society to help fight all types of cancer.
Day with the Mayor
2012 event happens April 30.
Members of the Mayor's Youth Council host the "Day with the Mayor" event at Frisco Fire Safety Town. Each one of the 5th grade teachers at Frisco ISD elementary schools nominate a student who exemplifies being a good citizen during the school year. The selected students spend the day with Mayor Maher Maso at Frisco Fire Safety Town. Students take a tour of the facility, learn about the equipment and vehicles firefighters use on the job, and cycled around the miniature outdoor town at Safety Town.
