Lee Glover proudly serves the City of Frisco, Texas as Fire Chief.  Frisco was named by the United States Census Bureau in 2020 as the nation’s fastest growing city, and the Frisco Fire Department currently holds a Class 1 Public Protection Classification from the Insurance Services Offices and is fully accredited by the Commission on Fire Accreditation International.

Chief Glover began his career with the Frisco Fire Department in 1991 as a Firefighter/Paramedic.  He steadily advanced through the ranks of Lieutenant, Captain, Battalion Chief, Deputy Chief of Operations, and Assistant Fire Chief of Emergency Services, and Assistant Fire Chief of Support Services, until his most recent transition to Fire Chief in 2023.  Over the course of his now 32-year career with Frisco, Chief Glover has helped guide and develop the organization from one made up primarily of volunteer personnel operating out of one fire station to a fully career organization operating out of nine fire stations, a training facility,   Fire Prevention Office/Fire Fleet Services building, and a Community Education building with an outdoor safety town.   Planning is currently underway for Fire Station 10 intended to cope with continued growth of the community.  

Chief Glover holds a wide variety of professional certifications through the Texas Commission on Fire Protection, including Master Firefighter, and maintains certification as a Licensed Paramedic through the Texas Department of State Health Services.  He is a graduate of both the U.S. Fire Administration’s Executive Fire Officer Program as well as the Fire Service Chief Executive Officer Program sponsored by the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service.  Chief Glover earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in Fire Science from Collin County College in 2003 and then went on to graduate summa cum laude from Texas A&M-Commerce with a Bachelor of Applied Arts & Sciences in 2017.

Chief Glover and his wife, Jamie, continue to reside in Frisco where they have lived for over 32 years and raised two sons, Ryan and Adam.
